A few days before menstruation chest pain is edema

Chest swelling and chest pain that occurs a few days before menstruation may be related to emotions and estrogen levels, which are mostly normal. Usually, after the onset of menstruation, chest distension and pain symptoms will gradually reduce or disappear, so there is no need to worry too much. Some women may experience breast pain before their menstruation, which may be characterized as chest swelling and pain. This is due to the fluctuation of hormone levels in the body, which leads to the development of breast ducts and alveoli, and is usually a normal phenomenon. With the onset of menstruation, the hormone level decreases and the patient’s pain will gradually improve. However, if the patient still has discomfort after menstruation, and it is serious and lasts for a long time, and there are hard lumps when the breast is touched, it is abnormal. Patients are advised to go to the gynecology department in a timely manner and undergo mammography and other relevant examinations to confirm the diagnosis and avoid delaying the condition. In addition, it is recommended that women maintain a good mood before menstruation, exercise in moderation, and avoid intake of cold, spicy and stimulating foods to smoothly go through the menstrual cycle.
