Can a bruise in the head heal itself slowly?

Whether a bruise in the head can heal itself depends on the amount and location of the bruise, and cannot be generalized. If the amount of intracranial bruising is very small and the bruising is in an unimportant area, with only mild dizziness and headache, it may not lead to very serious consequences and can slowly heal itself by self-absorption. If the bruise exists for a long time and has a large extent, the patient may have obvious dizziness and headache, nausea and vomiting, numbness of the limbs, hemiplegia, speech difficulty, coma, etc. Some long-term intracranial bruises may also cause epilepsy, which should not wait for it to slowly heal itself and should be treated early. Once intracranial bruising is detected, the patient should be closely observed for changes in consciousness, and regular follow-up visits to neurology or neurosurgery to review the cranial CT and understand the changes of intracranial bruising and timely treatment.
