Generally speaking, thyroid nodules do not cause a foreign body sensation in the throat. If a thyroid nodule is present along with a foreign body sensation in the throat, it is often caused by chronic pharyngitis and can be examined by laryngoscopy. The treatment is mainly oral Chinese medicine, such as Qinghe capsule, and various oral tablets, including watermelon cream tablets and grass coral tablets. If there is a severe foreign body sensation in the throat, you can use compound iodoglycerin, or 5% silver nitrate solution, for inhalation treatment of the throat. If the thyroid nodule is particularly large and compresses the esophagus, it can cause difficulty in swallowing and requires surgery.
