What are the diagnostic criteria for osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a metabolic bone disease characterized by reduced bone mass, destruction of bone tissue microstructure, increased bone fragility and susceptibility to fracture. The diagnostic criteria are as follows: 1. A history of presenting fragility fractures; 2. When there is no fracture, reliance on dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry: osteoporosis can be considered when the bone mineral density of the midshaft or the T value of the bone mineral density of the hip or the distal 1/3 of the radius is measured <-2.5. The early clinical manifestations of osteoporosis are not obvious and are known as an epidemic, and some people only discover osteoporosis after a fracture. Some people also suffer pain during the course of the disease, especially in weight-bearing areas.
