What are the symptoms of pulsatile tinnitus?

Pulsatile tinnitus is a rhythmic tinnitus with symptoms related to the cause. For example, vascular pulsatile tinnitus caused by an arteriovenous fistula has a blowing murmur and the rhythm of the tinnitus matches the rhythm of the patient’s own heartbeat; for non-vascular pulsatile tinnitus caused by palatal myoclonus, the rhythm correlates with the clonic rhythm of a myoclonic seizure and there is a “clicking” sound synchronised with the myoclonus.
