The survival time of patients with cirrhosis in the compensated stage is affected by many factors, such as the cause of cirrhosis, liver function grading and the treatment of the patient, if the cause of cirrhosis is lifted and better treatment is carried out, the patient can survive for a longer period of time. Usually cirrhosis is already a relatively more serious stage of liver disease. Cirrhosis is divided into compensated and decompensated stage, compensated stage means that patients with cirrhosis have already had pathological changes, but the organism can still compensate for the changes in liver function in other ways. If the cause of the disease can be relieved and the liver function is graded earlier, active liver-protecting treatment can delay the development of patients into the decompensated stage, thus prolonging the life of the patients, and some of the patients can have the same life expectancy as normal people. Once developing into the decompensated stage, various complications will occur, endangering patients’ lives, and the five-year survival rate of patients is low. The most important treatment for patients with cirrhosis is the treatment of complications, such as gastrointestinal bleeding and hepatic encephalopathy, etc. The only cure is liver transplantation.
