Gout symptoms and treatment

  Gout is a crystal arthritis caused by disorders of purine metabolism and reduced uric acid excretion. The symptoms of gout are different in different periods. In acute gout, there is severe joint pain, progressive aggravation, severe pain like cutting or biting, and a series of symptoms such as local fever, redness and swelling, and obvious dull pain. In intermittent gout, there are usually no obvious symptoms, sometimes there is only a deepening of skin pigmentation, dark red or purplish red, accompanied by flaking and itching at the site of the attack. The treatment of gout is mainly based on medication, and different kinds of medications are needed depending on the period of the disease, such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers, colchicine, goutidine capsules, febuxostat, etc.  Most of the acute attacks of gout have sudden onset of joint redness, swelling and pain, involving the distal single joints of the limbs, especially the first metatarsophalangeal joint, and the pain can be high within 24 hours, but can be relieved on its own within a few days to 2 weeks. In the early stage of acute gout attack, you can take non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers, colchicine, etc., which can quickly relieve the symptoms of swollen and painful joints.  In addition, gout can also cause kidney damage, leading to urinary stones, renal insufficiency, etc., and a series of symptoms such as renal colic, hematuria, proteinuria and more.
