In response to the concern of some glioma patients that they will not be able to see or stay at Tiantan Hospital. I would like to give a clear explanation here. There are a lot of patients coming to Tiantan Hospital and there are many patients in the queue. However, glioma tumors tend to progress quickly and some patients are seriously ill. So all patients who come to see me every 2 mornings and every 5 afternoons during my clinic hours are usually given extra numbers for you to see. If we do CT, MRI and preoperative routine examinations like general patients, and then we have to wait for 2-4 weeks for admission, many patients can’t bear the pain and suffering during the waiting period, and even their condition changes and it’s too late for surgery. Therefore, our ward will arrange for patients to be admitted as soon as possible, often within 3-5 days after the examination is completed; especially for patients with serious conditions, they are often admitted immediately on an emergency basis. Our ward is a specialized ward mainly for glioma. We will provide standardized and complete treatment for glioma patients with the latest treatment concepts and equipment today, and provide long-term care, follow-up and guidance for patients’ post-surgical treatment, so as to provide high-quality medical services for patients with lower recurrence rates and higher quality of life.
