How long does celecoxib take to work for pain relief

The recommended oral dose is 100-200mg twice a day, and the maximum therapeutic effect is achieved in 5 hours. Unlike indomethacin and diclofenac sodium, celecoxib works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2, so it is relatively less irritating to the gastrointestinal tract, which is one of its advantages. However, it should be noted that celecoxib still carries a risk of inducing cardiovascular adverse events and should be used with caution or contraindicated in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or risk factors for cardiovascular disease. In addition, the specific onset and duration of the effects of celecoxib may vary according to individual sensitivity and physical differences.
