Diarrhea in peritoneal dialysis patients is usually considered peritonitis. First, the patient can be asked to observe the clarity of the peritoneal dialysis fluid, determine whether there is fever and whether it is accompanied by abdominal pain, etc., and if necessary, go to the hospital for examination. If the diarrhea is due to peritonitis, targeted antibiotic treatment is required. If the diarrhea is not caused by peritonitis, the patient can be asked if he/she has consumed overnight food and if he/she has symptoms such as nausea and vomiting. Further examination is required and can be done at the gastroenterology department.
