Cerebellar atrophy can cause personality changes, such as depression, dislike of others, lack of affection for loved ones, changes in lifestyle habits, impatience and irritability, all of which may be caused by cerebellar atrophy. However, the typical symptoms of microcephaly are ataxia, or walking with an unsteady gait and a drunken gait. Patients with cerebral neurological dysfunction may experience dizziness, headache, forgetfulness, memory loss, dullness, slow reaction time, and tremors in the hands and feet. In severe cerebellar atrophy, patients may have unclear speech, cognitive impairment, loss of words, forgetfulness, and even inability to understand others.
