Minimally invasive treatment of large hemangiomas is effective

Patient, female, physical examination revealed a hemangioma of about 6 cm in the liver without abdominal distension. six months later, the patient experienced weight loss, abdominal distension, discomfort after meals, and even inability to bend or squat. ultrasound showed that the hemangioma had enlarged to 8X8X7 cm. after thorough examination and evaluation, ultrasound minimally invasive treatment was carried out, which means injecting vascular sclerosing agent under ultrasound guidance. After two minimally invasive treatments, the patient’s symptoms improved and her weight was close to normal. Liver hemangiomas generally do not require treatment, but larger (>5cm) symptomatic ones should be treated aggressively.
