What’s wrong with high liver function?

A test that reflects the basic status of liver function by measuring various indicators related to liver metabolism through various biochemical tests is commonly referred to as a “liver function test”. High liver function generally means that the indexes of the above tests exceed the normal range. 1. In liver function tests, serum enzymes are one of the most basic areas of laboratory tests for liver disease. For example, the transaminases involved are mainly alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST). Elevated transaminases generally indicate damage to liver cells, and the higher the value represents the greater the degree of damage. In acute viral hepatitis, transaminases are significantly elevated, while in other non-viral liver diseases such as fatty liver, alcoholic liver disease and liver cancer, transaminases are mildly elevated. 2.Common causes of high bilirubin include acute jaundiced hepatitis, liver cancer, cirrhosis, cholelithiasis, hemolytic anemia, etc. In general, severe dehydration, shock, insufficient water intake and hyperalgesia will lead to a decrease in total serum protein and albumin, while hepatitis, cirrhosis, rheumatoid arthritis and other diseases will lead to a decrease in total serum protein and globulin. 4, when the diet is irregular can also lead to abnormal liver function indicators, especially the day before the test eat greasy, barbecue food and stay up late, etc. are likely to cause high liver function indicators. Patients with high liver function indexes are recommended to go to the hospital to do relevant tests, such as ultrasound and methemoglobin, according to their medical history, to determine which disease is causing the high liver function indexes.
