How long can you live with chronic nephritis?

According to studies, the life expectancy of patients with chronic nephritis usually does not differ from that of normal people. Chronic nephritis, or chronic glomerulonephritis, is a chronic disease with no effective treatment. Chronic glomerulonephritis has a variety of pathological types and is generally treated according to the pathological type. In case of inert nephritis, i.e. chronic nephritis that does not progress, such patients can obtain long-term survival without affecting their life expectancy. If chronic nephritis gradually progresses to chronic renal failure and uremia, patients who do not undergo treatment may die within a short period of time. Patients who undergo alternative treatments, such as dialysis and kidney transplantation, may obtain long-term survival after treatment, but they need lifelong treatment and follow-up. Chronic nephritis is difficult to cure, but it can be controlled. Patients should maintain a good state of mind, pay attention to good lifestyle habits on a daily basis, and review regularly. Chinese medicine or a combination of Chinese and Western medicine is very advantageous in the treatment of chronic nephritis.
