1. Brainstem gliomas are malignant in 80% of cases, spreading and infiltrating the brain bridge. 2. Clinical manifestations are behavioral abnormalities: irritability, decreased academic performance, invasion of cranial nerves (swallowing disorders, eye movement disorders, facial nerve invasion), and balance disorders. The progression of neurological damage is rapid. 3. On CT, there is an increase in the volume of brainstem hypodensity. 4, On brainstem MRI brain bridge tumors are homogeneous in density (diffuse lesions); little or no enhancement, sometimes with one or more cystic images; some tumors grow outward, either in the fourth ventricle or outside the cerebellopontine horn of the cerebellum. 5. These tumors are inoperable with diffuse infiltration. The treatment is mainly radiotherapy, and very often, radiotherapy only plays a temporary and palliative role. Up to now, trial of chemotherapy is still ineffective.
