What to do about small liver cysts

Small cysts in the liver are usually asymptomatic and do not need to be treated. All that is needed is to review the ultrasound every six months or so to observe the changes in the cysts. Small cysts in the liver are a very common type of benign tumor during ultrasound examinations. They are generally more common in women than men, and the vast majority of them are congenital, due to embryonic developmental disorders of the intrahepatic bile ducts, while a small percentage are acquired, due to degenerative changes in the liver. The growth rate of liver cysts in the liver is very slow, and small liver cysts have no effect on the internal tissue structure of the liver under pressure, or external morphological changes, so there is no need to worry too much, as long as they are well reviewed.
