Symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis

Symptoms of diabetic ketoacidosis include increased symptoms of polydipsia, polyphagia, polyuria, and weight loss; fatigue, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, headache, lethargy, deep and rapid respiration, and the smell of rotten apples in the exhaled breath; in severe water loss, there may be a decrease in the amount of urine, orbital sunkenness, dry skin and mucous membranes, a drop in blood pressure, and an increase in heart rate; and in advanced stages, there may be varying degrees of impaired consciousness and coma. Diabetic ketoacidosis is the most common diabetic emergency. With hyperglycemia, ketosis and acidosis as the main manifestations, it is a serious metabolic disorder syndrome caused by the combined effect of insufficient insulin and too much antagonistic insulin hormone. Diabetic patients with the above symptoms should consult a doctor in time, under the guidance of the doctor to avoid delaying the condition.
