Headache and fever, body aches and weakness

The presence of headache, fever, and generalized soreness and weakness is usually a result of a systemic viral infection. Viral infections can cause muscle aches and weakness, and blood muscle enzyme profiles are checked, often with an increase in CK. Patients may present with fever, with a body temperature of 38°C-39°C. The fever can induce headache, which is vascular headache without organic damage to the brain, and is related to increased body temperature and viral infection, which causes vasoconstriction and dilation dysfunction in the brain. In this case, antipyretic, analgesic and symptomatic treatment can be given. Commonly used drugs are non-steroidal antipyretic and analgesic drugs, such as ibuprofen and naproxen. However, before diagnosing this headache, other tests need to be completed to exclude central nervous system infection and to clarify the presence of meningeal irritation signs.
