How to prevent precocious puberty in children?

Sexual precocity refers to the occurrence of sexual maturity 2.8 standard deviations (SD) earlier than normal children, at present, it is considered that any secondary sexual characteristics appear before the age of 9 years old is sexual precocity. Four major causes of precocious puberty in children 1. Misuse of food or drugs containing hormones. 2.Improved nutrition and superior family living conditions. 3.Environmental pollution. 4. Stimulation of sexual content on TV, video and other media. Although it is difficult to prevent true or pseudo-precocious puberty caused by certain heritage factors such as genetic mutations, hypothalamic pituitary tumors, ovarian cysts in girls, testicular tumors in boys and adrenal gland diseases, some other causes of precocious puberty, especially pseudo-precocious puberty, can be prevented. Therefore, parents should be familiar with the methods of prevention to prevent the problem before it happens. Some exogenous precocious puberty is completely preventable. Clinically, we often encounter children with breast development and pubic hair after taking placenta supplements containing estrogen or mistakenly taking birth control pills for several months, and the development of sexual characteristics gradually disappears after stopping placenta supplements. It has been found that chicken embryonic supplements cause precocious puberty in children mainly because of the important role of estradiol and peptide hormones contained in them. In animal tests with ginseng and royal jelly, it was found that premature sexual maturation occurred in immature female rats after repeated administration of royal jelly-containing supplements, such as markedly enlarged uterus and increased vaginal secretions. Therefore, for children who are healthy and have a balanced diet, there is no need to add additional tonic products. For children who are usually weak and sickly, anorexic, or have night sweats, it is best to choose to use appropriate supplements under the guidance of a doctor shrimp to avoid unnecessary side effects. Pregnant women and lactating mothers do not use supplements and skin care products containing sex hormones, children avoid using skin care products containing sex hormones, and for young parents taking birth control pills should place the pills out of reach of their children. Excessive nutrition, excessive body fat is easy to promote precocious puberty High protein diet will cause deoxyribonucleic acid replication and high protein synthesis increase; obese children due to excess nutrition, excess adipose tissue in the body, and then due to fat cells can synthesize leptin, when the blood leptin rises to a certain level, will lead to early puberty development of the affected children. Therefore, the diet should be properly controlled, the more obese children and then control the fat and sugar intake at the same time, to ensure the intake of protein and vitamins, can eat more seafood, milk, fresh vegetables and fruits. In the cultural entertainment children should not watch love films or novels, and do not go to see those yellow books or films, otherwise it can promote the early sexual development of children. Parents should avoid their children when they have sex. Environmental factors Environmental pollution, the widespread use of cosmetics containing chemical substances and feed and fertilizers used by artificially raised or cultivated animals and plants, which contain “environmental hormones”, may cause disorders of human reproductive function, resulting in premature sexual maturity or low sexual function of children. These problems should attract great attention and actively take corresponding countermeasures. In addition, ultraviolet light has the potential to promote sexual development, therefore, excessive dynamic exposure of children to ultraviolet light should be avoided in summer. It can be seen that comprehensive measures should be taken to prevent precocious puberty in children, first of all, we should raise the awareness of parents, family and society about the importance of preventing precocious puberty in children. We should pay attention to balanced nutrition, don’t be partial or over-eating, don’t abuse various tonic products for children, and avoid contact with pornographic books and movies, so as not to affect the physical and mental health of children.
