Dizziness and headache are not necessarily caused by novel coronavirus infection, which is usually not obvious after infection. Some patients may have chest tightness, shortness of breath, or even difficulty in breathing, and sometimes may have flu-like symptoms and diarrhea. However, it is important to note that some patients with new pneumonia may have headaches and dizziness due to spasms of the blood vessels in the brain caused by repeated high fever or emotional stress. It can also be seen in some elderly patients who have insufficient blood supply to the brain due to the exacerbation of the disease, and who develop the corresponding clinical manifestations. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to patients with an epidemiological history, even if they only suffer from discomfort such as dizziness and headache, with the possibility of hypothermia going unnoticed. Patients need to be screened for novel coronavirus infection by early completion of blood work, chest CT, and nucleic acid testing of respiratory specimens.
