Chalazion is a more common eye disease in young people, but many people are not familiar with it. Chalazion is a small ice grain that falls before snow, the eye long chalazion usually does not feel much, just can see a limited swelling, touch it as if there is a chalazion inside, small about the size of a green bean, large about the size of a soybean, harder, no pain. This is similar to the pathogenesis of wheals, except that there is no co-infection. So there are many similarities in treatment. But because chalazia is not co-infected, it does not need to be treated with antibiotics. Smaller chalazia with no other manifestations can be treated with hot compresses and massage. It is best if it can be absorbed slowly, and if there is no change, observe it for a while. If the chalazion grows gradually, or if the skin becomes red and does not improve with hot compresses, consider surgery to remove it. Surgery is the most thorough way to treat chalazion. If the skin is close to the conjunctival surface, the conjunctival incision will not affect the appearance; if it is close to the skin surface, the incision will be made parallel to the lid margin, and the flat wound will not affect the external appearance significantly.
