What happened to the fatty grains on the eyelids?

The growth of fatty grains on the eyelids is very common in daily life and is a local manifestation of abnormal lipid metabolism throughout the body, in the eyes. The fatty grains are usually granular, protrude from the skin surface, are smaller, more concentrated in extent, and gather in clusters. If squeezed hard, white or yellowish tofu-like material may appear, sometimes accompanied by bloody fluid outflow, and after healing, pigmentation may occur, making the local skin grayish and dark. This condition can occur at all ages and is common in adolescents and middle-aged and older adults. The occurrence of fatty grains is mainly related to the individual’s body type and surrounding environment, and is more likely to occur in people with oily skin. Some studies have found that if this condition occurs in female patients, it may be related to hormone levels and endocrine regulation disorders in the body. Some surveys have shown that the growth of fatty grains on the eyelids is also related to the use of some eye cosmetics, as some of the chemical components can be irritating to the skin tissue around the eyes, and the skin tissue of the eyelids is relatively fragile and less tolerant to certain chemicals. The growth of fatty grains on the eyelids is also related to one’s work and study and lifestyle habits, and is likely to occur in people who use their eyes excessively and stay up late, drink and smoke, and often eat spicy and irritating foods.
