What are the indications for hematopoietic stem cell transplantation?

Patients with APL generally do not require allo-HSCT and have indications for transplantation only in the following cases: 1. Failure of initial induction of APL. 2. Patients with first relapse of APL, including molecular biological relapse (two consecutive positive PML/RARα after the end of consolidation therapy are treated as relapse), cytogenetic relapse or hematologic relapse, have indications after re-induction therapy regardless of whether a 2nd hematologic complete remission is achieved, as long as PML/RARα remains positive.
