The easiest way to diagnose liver fibrosis

Based on the rigid elastography technique, the instantaneous elastography technique, since its introduction in 2008, is gaining more and more importance, especially when liver biopsies are not accepted by patients, and fibroscan is increasingly used as a major alternative method. The main point is that it is numerical, with low visual error, and also quantitative for fatty liver, far more intuitive and numerical than imaging techniques such as ultrasound or CT, so it is becoming more and more popular and is an important guideline for antiviral therapy, in addition to liver biopsy. Of course, it has certain disadvantages, as it can only provide quantitative fibrosis indicators, which are affected by a variety of factors such as inflammation, ascites, and fatty liver, and also cannot analyze intrahepatic nodules and the distribution of lesions within the liver, so the amount of information is relatively limited and cannot replace daily physical examination indicators such as ultrasound or CT. Below I send the 2013 National Expert Consensus to patients in the hope that it will be helpful.
