Who is more likely to develop kidney disease

Chronic kidney disease is one of the most common chronic diseases, and with the aging of society and the improvement of people’s living standards, the incidence of chronic kidney disease in China is increasing year by year, becoming a high incidence area of the disease. Because of its insidious onset and atypical early clinical symptoms, it is often not easy to be detected and cannot be treated in time, which often delays the best time for treatment. Understanding the susceptibility factors of chronic kidney disease is very important for early prevention and treatment. 1, their own factors The age and gender of different types of kidney disease are different, so people of different ages and genders should pay attention to protect their kidneys, starting from the little things in daily life, to prevent problems before they happen. (1) Age: Children should pay attention to hereditary diseases, infectious diseases and kidney diseases caused by allergic purpura. Children are most likely to have microscopic nephropathy characterized by “nephrotic syndrome”, which is sensitive to hormone therapy but prone to recurrence and may develop into chronic glomerulonephritis in adulthood. Infectious nephritis is also more common, so parents should pay attention when acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis, scarlet fever and other infections occur, and treat them promptly and thoroughly. In addition to primary glomerular diseases, middle-aged and young people need to pay attention to kidney damage caused by connective tissue diseases, infections and drugs; in the elderly, they should pay attention to metabolic diseases, such as diabetic nephropathy, gouty nephropathy, benign small artery nephrosclerosis, renal amyloidosis, tumor-associated nephropathy, or systemic small-vessel vasculitis kidney damage. 2) Gender: For example, pyelonephritis is more common in women, especially in women of childbearing age and during pregnancy. Certain autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus, which are more prevalent in young women and involve the kidneys, also need to be taken seriously. 2, all kinds of “kidney killer” Many people usually ignore their health, until the symptoms are serious, then come to the doctor, thus delaying the diagnosis and treatment, resulting in uremia. The occurrence of many chronic kidney disease is caused by a combination of factors, but the incidence is significantly higher in people with the following risk factors. 1) Diabetes: The incidence of diabetes is increasing year by year, with 20-40% of diabetic patients having the potential to develop diabetic nephropathy. Most of them are middle-aged and elderly diabetic patients, and the duration of the disease is more than 5 years, often accompanied by diabetic complications such as ocular retinopathy and peripheral neuritis. Therefore, diabetic patients must pay attention to diet, exercise properly, actively monitor and control blood sugar, and regularly check urine microalbumin in order to detect diabetic nephropathy early and intervene. (2) Hypertension: long-term hypertension can cause high pressure and vascular sclerosis in the glomerulus, leading to renal ischemia and glomerulosclerosis, which is manifested as increased urinary albumin excretion rate and increased nocturia in patients, and can cause renal hypofunction in severe cases. Therefore, it is extremely important to control the blood pressure to meet the standard to protect the kidney. In addition to drug treatment, we should pay attention to rest, ensure sleep, appropriate exercise, and especially worth mentioning is that salt intake should be controlled. (3) Older people: As we age, the function of various organs in the body, including the kidneys, gradually declines, especially people with cardiovascular disease and a family history of kidney disease are more likely to get chronic kidney disease. The elderly should be especially alert to kidney damage caused by arteriosclerosis. (4) metabolic diseases: ① hyperlipidemia: hyperlipidemia is prone to cardiovascular disease and atherosclerosis, and renal arteriosclerosis can cause renal ischemia; ② hyperuricemia: excessive urate crystals are deposited in the kidneys to cause uric acid nephropathy, and high blood uric acid can also lead to arteriosclerosis, when the blood uric acid gradually increases, urate crystals accumulate over time, the possibility of gouty kidney stones will increase. (5) Various infectious diseases: such as hepatitis, tuberculosis, AIDS, schistosomiasis, etc., can also lead to kidney function damage. (6) Autoimmune diseases: such as systemic lupus erythematosus, if symptoms such as hair loss, photoallergy, joint swelling and pain, painless mouth ulcers are found, and if there are abnormalities in urine routine and kidney function, it is necessary to consult a nephrologist as soon as possible. 7) Drug abuse or irregular drug use: Drug-related kidney damage is another reason for the increasing incidence of chronic kidney disease year by year, which cannot be ignored. Drugs are excreted through the kidneys, and some of them are nephrotoxic, and their long-term use can easily cause kidney damage, such as aminoglycoside antibiotics, antipyretic and analgesic drugs, contrast agents, Chinese medicine and proprietary Chinese medicine containing aristolochic acid. Certain health products and diet pills may also cause kidney damage. 8) Family history of kidney disease: Studies have shown that in addition to some hereditary and congenital kidney diseases, many chronic kidney diseases have a tendency to gather in families, and people with chronic kidney disease in their families are more likely to develop kidney disease compared to those without a family history of kidney disease. (9) poor lifestyle: long-term use of computer work people are prone to kidney disease. China’s kidney disease incidence of occupational surveys in a phenomenon worthy of attention, that is, long-term use of computer work accounted for 16% of the population. The common feature of this part of the people is to sit in front of the computer for a long time every day, lack of exercise; long-term overtime, stay up late, insomnia. So we should exercise more to enhance physical fitness, pay attention to ensure adequate rest. (10) Other: urinary tract infections, urinary tract obstruction, and high protein diet, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, low birth weight people are also susceptible to chronic kidney disease.
