How to correct abnormal fetal position

Before 28 weeks of gestation, the fetal position is not fixed, and pregnant women do not need to correct the abnormal fetal position urgently; if the fetal position is still abnormal after 30 weeks of gestation, it should be corrected, and chest and knee position and external inversion are often used under the guidance of physicians. 1. chest and knee position: pregnant women empty their bladder, loosen their trouser belt, kneel on a hard bed, put a pillow on the chest, bend the forearms of both hands upward, put the head on the bed and turn to one side, with the buttocks and thighs at right angles. 2. 2. external inversion: the doctor reverses the fetus by hand pushing and other movements, which requires professional skills and cannot be done by pregnant women at home, and is suitable for those whose chest and knee positions are ineffective and whose abdominal wall is flaccid, and is usually performed at 32-34 weeks of pregnancy. This method has the risk of placental abruption and umbilical cord entanglement, so it should be used with caution, and pregnant women should stop immediately if abdominal pain or abnormal fetal heartbeat occurs during the operation. It should be noted that the above methods do not completely guarantee that the fetus will return to the fetal position for normal delivery. When the fetal position cannot be corrected before delivery, the pregnant woman should choose cesarean section to terminate the pregnancy.
