Transverse fetal position is a vertical cross direction between the long axis of the fetus and the longitudinal axis of the mother’s body, with the fetus shoulder as the preexisting part, also known as shoulder previa, which is a more dangerous fetal position and can be corrected by knee-chest position, acupuncture or trial external inversion. 1. knee-chest position: the pregnant woman needs to empty her bladder and loosen the loincloth. On a hard bed, forearms straight, prostrate, chest as close to the bed as possible; knees on the bed, hips elevated, thighs and bed vertical; head close to the bed, face to the side. Do it once a day in the morning and once in the evening for 15 minutes each time for 1 week, and then go to the hospital for review; 2. Acupuncture: pregnant women can also go to a Chinese medicine hospital to have acupuncture point treatment by a professional herbalist to reverse the fetal position; 3. External rotation of fetal position: if the fetus has not turned to head first dew after 36 weeks of pregnancy, the doctor should consider performing external rotation of fetal position for the pregnant woman to turn the fetus so that she can have a smooth delivery. If the amount of amniotic fluid is moderate, the back of the fetus is on both sides, the weight of the mother is moderate, and the breech of the fetus is not deep into the pelvis, then the procedure is suitable. It is worth noting that external inversion has certain risks and can lead to cord entanglement or placental abruption, so it should be chosen carefully. If the fetal position is still not corrected in late pregnancy, early hospitalization should be considered and a cesarean section may be performed to end the delivery.
