RPR is a type of syphilis test, RPR test is also known as rapid plasma reactin ring card test, is one of the simpler and more accurate serological detection tests for syphilis, need to be together with the syphilis spiral antibody test results, to determine the infection of syphilis. Generally, the following four situations will occur: 1. positive spirochete antibodies and positive RPR indicator: it means that the symptoms now show that the person has been infected with syphilis and needs regular anti-infection treatment for syphilis; 2. positive spirochete antibodies and negative RPR indicator: it means that the person has been infected with syphilis or the person has been cured after treatment for syphilis; 3. negative spirochete antibodies and positive RPR indicator The advantage of RPR is that it is simple and fast, and is suitable for use in syphilis screening. The disadvantage is that there is the phenomenon of pre-banding, false negatives or insensitivity to neurotoxin and latent syphilis manifestations, so it is not possible to determine whether syphilis infection is present with a single result of RPR.
