The incidence of carpal tunnel syndrome, also known as “mouse hand”, is closely related to occupation. Occupations with a high incidence of the disease are mainly those that require high intensity and high frequency of wrist activity, such as assembly line manual workers, cooks, painters, musicians, motorists, milkmaids and long-term computer users.
