Do fibroids go away on their own?

Fibroids usually do not disappear on their own and most require surgical treatment. A very small number of fibroids, usually only a few millimeters in size, may shrink or even disappear if attention is paid to changing a bad life and maintaining a good mood. Fibroids are benign tumors caused by changes in the fibrous connective tissue. These tumors usually do not affect the body much because of their slow growth rate, but they do not usually disappear on their own. For small, asymptomatic fibroids, they can be observed and reviewed once every 3-6 months. However, if the fibroid grows large or is accompanied by pain and discomfort, oral or injectable medications are not very effective, and surgery is recommended to remove the fibroid. Fibroid patients should rest more after surgery, do not overwork, preferably do not stay up late, and eat more fruits and vegetables, which are very helpful for the healing of the incision. In addition, the surgical incision should be changed regularly and observed for signs of infection.
