How long does it take for herpes simplex to heal?

The time to heal from herpes simplex is related to the severity of herpes and the level of autoimmunity, so how long it takes to heal from herpes simplex cannot be generalized and varies widely among patients. In general, patients with milder symptoms of herpes simplex do not need treatment. Patients can exercise properly, eat properly and strengthen their resistance, and they can heal themselves in about 7-10 days. In contrast, those with severe herpes simplex symptoms can be treated with antiviral drugs such as acyclovir, famciclovir or vaxilovir, etc. They can also be treated with topical acyclovir ointment, penciclovir ointment, interferon gel and other drugs applied. After active treatment about 2-3 weeks can be healed, and those with strong autoimmune function can significantly shorten the healing time and may be healed in about 1 week.
