The difference between nephritis and kidney deficiency

There is a big difference between what Western medicine calls “kidney” and what Chinese medicine calls “kidney”, and nephritis and “kidney deficiency” are two different things. The kidney in Western medicine refers to the urine-producing organs of a person, one on each side. Nephrolithiasis is a non-purulent immune-mediated inflammatory lesion in both kidneys. Patients may have weakness, back pain, edema, hypertension, hematuria, foamy urine, protein, red blood cells, and tubularity in the urine, but a significant number of patients do not normally feel any discomfort. Nephritis can occur in people of any age, but it is more common in young men. It is commonly caused by infections that occur on the basis of exertion and low resistance, and the causes and triggers of the disease are unclear in some patients. The vast majority of patients with nephritis present a chronic process. The “kidney” in Chinese medicine is one of the five organs of the human body, whose functions are to store essence, main water and liquid, main bone and marrow, and main gas, etc. There are more than six or seven kinds of functions. ”Kidney deficiency” refers to the pathological phenomenon of loss of essence in the kidneys, which can be caused by insufficient endowment or excessive depletion of kidney essence. Clinical manifestations include mental lassitude, weakness, dizziness, tinnitus, forgetfulness, lumbago, lumbago, spermatorrhea, impotence, sweating, coldness in the hands and feet or heat in the heart of the hands and feet. Therefore, nephritis and “kidney deficiency” are two different things that have nothing to do with each other. From a western medical point of view, there is no direct relationship between the kidneys and sex, however, during the period of nephritis, it is necessary to take proper rest, including the appropriate moderation of sexual life. The actual nephritis is healed and will not affect the sexual life.
