How can acne be properly treated?

Acne is caused by changes in sex hormones in the body (commonly known as endocrine disorders) that result in excessive sebum production by the sebaceous glands and the inability of the sebaceous ducts to drain excessive sebum. The affected areas include the face, chest and back, where sebaceous glands are abundant.
If the sebaceous ducts are open to the outside world, blackheads with sebaceous plugs can form. It leaves permanent scarring after healing.
There is a family tendency for acne to occur, especially if one or both parents have oily skin. Aggravating factors for acne include: food (especially high sugar foods that also contain a lot of refined sugar), improper skin care, lack of sleep, and stress.
Female acne patients usually worsen during menstruation. Male acne tends to worsen and form cysts. The above factors can cause oily skin to develop into acne. Therefore acne prevention requires avoiding all of the above factors, not one of them.
Since acne is very common, non-contagious, and does not affect work or school, many people do not pay enough attention to it, or consider it a necessary part of growing up. However, the author does not share this view.
  Reasons for treating acne
The reasons why acne patients seek treatment for treatment include two.
The first is to prevent scar formation. Once a scar forms, it will be permanent and then the patient will go around asking for treatment for the scar and agonizing over it. The after-effects of scarring can vary in presentation, and may be small depressions or larger depressions; or deep, large disfiguring scarring.
A second reason to seek aggressive treatment is that even without scar formation, acne can serve as a causative agent for the patient’s other conditions. Although acne can be mild and unnoticeable in some patients, it can cause distress, anxiety and anxiety.
Patients should follow medical advice to treat acne
  I. Local cleaning
Wash the face with soap twice a day and do not scrub excessively. Do not use facial creams, cleansing creams, nutritional creams, or any oil-based preparations on the face. This is because they contain oils, fats or waxes. Acne is closely related to excess oil.
You may think your face is dry, but its does contain dry, oily scales. After the treatment is effective, your skin will indeed become dry, especially in sensitive areas such as around the mouth and cheeks. When this level is reached, patients are advised to maintain their current treatment. Treatment may be interrupted for 1-2 nights during the follow-up period if the skin becomes red or uncomfortable.
Women may use face powder, dry powder (oil-free) or lip balm, but not creams. Men with acne should remove their beards regularly and avoid the use of oils, creams, cremes or hair styling solutions. Many acne patients are accompanied by oily hair. For these patients, some mild anti-dandruff shampoos or shampoos can be used.
Adequate sleep is necessary, with at least eight hours of sleep each night. Excessive exercise can stimulate sebaceous secretion, which is an aggravation of acne. Proper sun exposure is beneficial to acne, but excessive exposure is harmful and can increase the occurrence of skin tumors. When going out on sunny days, do not use sunscreens that contain oil.
  II. Diet
Recent studies have shown that a diet high in sugar can aggravate the condition. It is very important to list recipes and it is recommended to avoid or limit the following foods.
  (1) Chocolate: This includes chocolate desserts, chocolate ice cream, chocolate peanuts, and chocolate drinks.
  (2) Nuts: Avoid peanuts, peanut butter, pistachios, hazelnuts, etc., especially in moderation.
  (3) Dairy products: Avoid whole milk and 2% butter dairy products, two cups of skim milk per day, yogurt, cream, ice cream and cheese.
  (4) Fatty meats: Avoid lamb, burgers, steaks, etc. Fish and chicken are allowed, but avoid cooking with salad oil and animal fats. Coconut oil and corn oil can be used instead for cooking, and French fries should be avoided.
  (5) Stimulating foods: Reduce the intake of stimulating foods, such as chili peppers, green onions, garlic, etc., as much as possible.
Eating according to the above recipes does not mean you have to endure hunger. You can consume lean meats, fresh or cooked vegetables, fruits, (or juices), bread, drink water (4-6 glasses) daily, and most importantly, avoid foods high in sugar.
  III. Acne treatment
  (A) Topical medication
  1.Adaparin cream or gel.
  2. Vitamin A acid cream or gel.
  3.Antibiotics.
  Clindamycin gel or solution.
Erythromycin solution, gel or ointment (but this product has been resistant).
Benzoyl peroxide solution, gel or ointment.
  (B) oral drugs
  1.Antibiotics
  Tetracycline: 250~500mg, 1~4 times a day.
  Doxycycline: 50~100mg, 1~2 times a day.
  Minocycline: 50~100mg, 1~2 times a day.
  2.Vitaminic acid
  Isotretinoin: 0.5~1.0mg/(kg.d), divided into doses.
  3.TCM treatment
According to Chinese medicine, acne is closely related to the lung, spleen, stomach, and heart meridians. The face and nose belong to the lung, and the mouth belongs to the spleen and stomach. If the heart fire is strong, sores will develop over time, so “all painful and itchy sores belong to the heart”. In Chinese medicine, the main treatment is to regulate the lung, stomach and heart, and most patients have achieved satisfactory results.
  IV. Home care
After your doctor has developed an effective treatment plan for you, it does not mean that you can stop home care when you go home. The routine care listed by your doctor at your first visit must be adhered to until your symptoms are completely gone, and it should continue for some time afterwards.
First, continue to use soap consistently.
Second, you will need to continue to control your diet, and after a few months, when your skin symptoms are better, you will find it less difficult to follow a strict diet.
Third, if there are still symptoms, topical skin care should be maintained for months, if not years. These regimens may be more effective than any other product you can buy over the counter.
Fourth, some of the time, your symptoms may worsen, especially in the fall. If this happens, you should seek medical attention as soon as possible so that your doctor can give aggressive treatment to prevent scar formation.
If these suggestions are followed, your symptoms will continue to get better. This way you will not be left with scarring on your face after passing this age. There are of course a few severe cases where these treatments do not prevent or reduce the formation of scarring.
