With the development of minimally invasive technology and the application of laparoscopic technology, patients with advanced liver metastases have increased the chance of treatment. Recently, the general surgery department of our Space Center Hospital performed laparoscopic liver metastases resection on a patient with liver metastases after surgery for gastrointestinal malignant tumor. The surgery took only half an hour to remove the liver metastasis and the patient recovered smoothly after the surgery. It opened up a new way for the treatment of advanced tumors.
