Pain is an unpleasant sensation and an emotional feeling accompanied by substantial or potential tissue damage; it is a subjective sensation. Nociception serves as a warning that the organism is being harmed and elicits a series of defensive protective responses from the organism. Headache is a common and frequent conscious symptom in the clinic, mostly caused by external sensation or internal injury. In modern medicine, it is often considered to be closely related to internal, external, neurological, psychiatric and quintuplegia. Headache is mainly manifested at the top of the head, with distension and empty pain, often accompanied by dizziness, lightheadedness, memory loss and other symptoms. The head is the “meeting of all yang”, and the three yang meridians and the three yin meridians are distributed in the head and eyes. As the “Lenglu Medical Talk – Headache” cloud: “The headache belongs to the sun, from the back of the head up to the top of the head, the disease is even the top.” Headache at the top of the head is mostly associated with malfunction of the liver and kidney organs, or Yin deficiency or Yang hyperactivity followed by phlegm and turbidity blocking the orifices leading to clear Yang (blood oxygen) not being able to go up to the brain orifices or too much (hypertension) leading to symptoms such as headache at the top of the head. In terms of diagnosis, taking medical history focusing on: the nature, temporality, triggers of headache as well as aura symptoms and other concomitant symptoms is the key to guiding clinical treatment. 1.Acupuncture treatment: Baihui, Taixi, Taichong, Hegu, Houxi Acupuncture is often used to tonify the liver and kidney by acupuncture or moxibustion, or to treat the blood by puncturing the Baihui point, or to treat both tonics and diarrhea. 2.Free hand treatment Through manipulation techniques, we apply pressure, loosen, pull and massage to the subscalp capillary tendon membrane to increase blood circulation, fine-tune the joints of the cervical segment of the spine and eliminate the stimulation or pressure on the upstream head and neck nerves, so as to reduce pain and accompanying symptoms. Patients who are anxious, nervous or depressed should be mentally induced and counseled to eliminate their concerns.
