The role of liver cancer targeted drugs

One of the main treatment modalities for hepatocellular carcinoma is targeted therapy. Currently, the commonly used targeted drugs in clinical practice include sorafenib, lenvatinib, regorafenib and anlotinib. These targeted drugs are small molecule, multi-target, multi-kinase inhibitors, which can selectively inhibit the activity of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, inhibit the activity of other pro-vascular growth enzymes involved in tumor proliferation, block oncogenic signaling pathways, block tumor driver gene pathways, thus blocking tumor angiogenesis, inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and regulating tumor microenvironment. Through the above-mentioned pathways, tumor proliferation and invasion are inhibited, which can inhibit the growth of cancer cells and control the disease of liver cancer.
