How long can metastatic liver cancer live in general

Liver cancer is a tumor with poor prognosis and very high malignancy. The natural survival period of liver cancer is about 3-6 months, and the prognosis will be worse after metastasis occurs, so the prognosis of liver cancer is usually within six months after metastasis. At present, with more and more treatments for liver cancer, especially the emergence of targeted drugs has extended the survival time of advanced liver cancer patients, such as sorafenib, regrafinib or levatinib and other targeted drugs against tumor angiogenesis, which extend the overall survival time of advanced liver cancer to about 1 year. Therefore, after metastasis of liver cancer, generally there may be about 1 year after treatment, depending on the kind of treatment received, the patient’s physical condition and the metastatic site.
