Love makes “children of the stars” no longer lonely

  They are not deaf, but they are deaf to the sounds of the world, they are not mute, but they never know how to speak, they have a pair of big beautiful eyes, but they are lost and drifting, avoiding anyone’s eyes at times, they are called “star children”. They are beautiful and lonely, like the stars in the sky, beautiful and mysterious, although they have fallen to earth, but still indulge in their own world, and this earth is separated by millions of light years.  People have no explanation, so they call such children “children of the stars” autistic children. In fact, autism is a mental illness characterized by severe loneliness, language development disorders, repetitive movements and peculiar reactions to the environment. The impact on the family can be “devastating”. In recent years, the prevalence of autism has increased significantly, with a prevalence of one in every 150 children, and the total number of people suffering from autism worldwide is well over 70 million, making it an increasingly serious global health crisis.  Since 2008, the United Nations has designated April 2 every year as World Autism Day, calling on us to pay more attention to autism and children with autism, to raise awareness of autism, to strive for early treatment and active intervention, so that these “star children” can enter the world and no longer be alone. In 2013, more than 8,400 landmarks and buildings in more than 1,300 cities and 101 countries on all seven continents participated in the Light It Up Blue campaign, a symbol of hope for autistic children.
