How should adolescents deal with the erection of sexual desire?

Parents need not make a fuss about pornographic photos when teenage boys become curious about the female body. A child’s interest in sex is crystallized when he or she begins to ask where he or she comes from. This question is the first step in establishing oneself and must be answered carefully by parents. Once in elementary school, a young boy becomes curious about little girls and shows his concern for gender differences through games such as imitating doctors and lifting skirts. By the time he reaches middle school, this concern shifts to pornographic photos, when in reality what he wants to see is the real form of women, but he just doesn’t have the opportunity. Pornography is a form of compensation, so there is no need to prohibit it. The more children are not allowed to see it, the more curious they may become. Some mothers ask their husbands not to bring home adult magazines for their children to read, but this behavior becomes a sign of hypocrisy in the children’s minds. If a mother finds pornographic pictures of her son, she must understand that her son has reached puberty and that the pictures can help him to become sexually active and help him to express his sexual desire. Unless the child is interested in sexual violence, sexual abuse and other photos, there is no need to make too much of a fuss.
