Leukemia is a common malignancy of the hematological system. Leukemia cells accumulate in the bone marrow and other hematopoietic tissues due to mechanisms such as uncontrolled proliferation, impaired differentiation, and blocked apoptosis in massive clonal proliferation, and infiltrate other non-hematopoietic tissues and organs, while inhibiting normal hematopoietic function. Therefore, the only methods that can cure leukemia are cytotoxic drugs, molecularly targeted therapies that target leukemia cells or pathogenesis, and stem cell transplantation.
Blood supplements only provide symptomatic support for patients with low hemoglobin and low platelets and do not kill leukemic cells; therefore, they can only be used as an adjunct to comprehensive leukemia treatment and cannot reverse the malignant process of leukemia.
