TCT is a normal screening test. Patients usually experience a small amount of vaginal bleeding and are advised to wait 1 week before having intercourse. The TCT is performed by brushing the cervical canal, including the exfoliated cells on the surface of the cervix. After a TCT test, a woman’s vaginal uterine protective barrier is affected and her resistance is reduced, so if intercourse is performed too early, infection may occur. Because there is a certain amount of bacteria on the surface of male genitalia, during intercourse, it may cause retrograde infection, such as the appearance of gynecological diseases like endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease, so it is better to have intercourse after 1 week to reduce the chances of infection. During intercourse, if there is no plan to prepare for pregnancy, try to take contraceptive measures and pay attention to the hygiene of sexual life to avoid and reduce the possibility of gynecological infections caused by bacterial infections.
