Abstract: This patient has felt abdominal fullness and discomfort, poor appetite, frequent loose stools, thin body, and occasional headache for many years, and for this condition, most of them belong to Taiyin evidence. Due to weakness of the spleen and stomach or loss of spleen and stomach yang, abnormal digestive function and abnormal bowel movements occur. Treatment requires strengthening the spleen and stomach to restore the normal function of transportation and digestion. After 2 months of treatment with Rizhong Tang plus or minus, the patient’s abdominal fullness and discomfort improved and her stools were basically formed. The patient’s abdominal distension and fullness improved and her stools were basically formed. She felt fullness in the abdomen for many years, and did not want to eat or drink, and her stools were often sugar thin. She did not pay attention to this at first, but over the past few years, she felt tired, had menstrual disorders, had abdominal pains, and was depressed, and had dizziness, headache, poor memory, and felt less energetic than before. The patient had a gastroscopy in the past, which showed superficial gastritis, and was treated with oral Omeprazole Enteric Capsules and Bifidobacterium Triforme Enteric Capsules, but the effect was not obvious. Recently, I feel that my abdominal discomfort has increased, I have frequent stomach pains, sometimes nausea, and I have loose stools 2-3 times a day. Based on the patient’s tongue and pulse and symptoms, the patient was considered to be suffering from Taiyin syndrome. The patient’s tongue was light, moist and thin with white moss, and the pulse was sunken. Combined with the symptoms, according to the TCM identification system, the patient was given Rizhong Tang orally to warm the Yang, strengthen the spleen and dispel dampness, and was seen again 1 week later. At the second meeting, the patient’s symptoms did not improve significantly. Considering that Taiyin Qi injury was obvious, it was necessary to strengthen the function of warming Yang and strengthening the spleen, and the original formula was supplemented with Han Xia, White Lentil and White Cardamom. The patient felt slight relief of abdominal distension and fullness after 1 week of re-medication, and had stool once a day, sometimes dry and sometimes thin, which could be formed, still had headache and fear of cold, considering Tai-Yin coldness, on the basis of the above, he was given Gui Zhi, Jing Zhi and Fang Feng, and continued to take them for 1 week. The patient’s headache is better than the original, the abdomen is occasionally full, stool can be, so according to this formula continue to consolidate treatment until 2 months, the patient’s general condition is good, the past abdomen and bowel discomfort improved. The patient was treated for 2 months from the initial consultation to the final consultation. After the TCM identification treatment, the patient’s many discomfort symptoms caused by Taiyin evidence were greatly improved. At the end of the consultation, the patient’s abdominal distension and fullness had improved significantly, and with a proper diet, his weakness had improved greatly. Most of the symptoms were solved after the TCM evidence-based treatment, and the patient felt a significant improvement in her physical state and mental state compared with that before the treatment. The patient is glad that after treatment, the symptoms of discomfort have been relieved and the physical and mental state have been improved. After treatment, patients need to pay attention to avoid the intake of cold things in their daily diet, eat a light diet, reduce the intake of fatty, sweet, thick and greasy food, and reduce the intake of spicy and stimulating food. At the same time, regular living habits are also particularly important. Early to bed and early to rise can regulate the health and help the spleen and stomach function to recover. Poor emotion will affect the drainage function, which in turn affects the transportation of the spleen and stomach, so maintaining good emotion plays an important role in the normal transportation of the spleen and stomach. V. Personal insight Taiyin evidence is mostly related to congenital endowment, mostly due to deficiency of spleen and kidney yang, resulting in a decrease in the function of warming and taming, deficiency of kidney yang, tiredness, weakness, lack of energy, often fearing cold, dizziness, headache, deficiency of spleen yang, abdominal fullness, frequent diarrhea, easily affected by external cold environment, weather changes, mood swings, etc. In this case, the symptoms associated with Taiyin syndrome are likely to recur when the spleen and stomach are cold, especially when the patient is not eating well, stays up late, or is in a bad mood. In addition, the treatment time for Taiyin syndrome is usually longer, and the symptoms improve slowly and are prone to recurrence, which requires patience and attention to external stimuli.
