What should I do if the dosage of thyroxine tablets is always “not right”?

First, is it the right time to take the medication? Eugenol tablets need to be taken on an empty stomach, only once a day at the dose prescribed by your doctor, usually early in the morning after waking up and about half an hour before meals.

Second, is it because food or other medications have an effect on the absorption of the tablets? Some foods may affect the absorption of thyroxine, such as soy milk, soy milk, and other soy products rich in soy protein. Some foreign studies have shown that soy protein-based foods may affect the absorption of thyroxine and should not be consumed at the same time while taking medication. In addition, hypoglycemic drugs, cholesterol-lowering drugs, antacids, and anticoagulants may interact with thyroxine tablets. Therefore, you need to read the instructions carefully before taking the medication and consult a physician in the relevant department.

If your doctor thinks your TSH (thyrotropin, thyroid stimulating hormone) levels need to be controlled, add 1/4 tablet a day, or if this is a large amount, add 1/4 tablet at intervals (for example, Monday, Thursday, Sunday) and no more at other times.

Each patient is different and the adjustment will need to be asked of the doctor.
