Can leukemia be saved?

Leukemia can be saved. There are many types of leukemia. Some types of leukemia are better treated and can achieve long-term survival with chemotherapy and targeted therapy, and some patients can be cured with a hematopoietic stem cell transplant. Leukemia is a malignant tumor of the hematological system and requires different treatment options depending on the type, and some patients can achieve a better prognosis. For example, acute promyelocytic leukemia type M3 can be cured with all-trans retinoic acid combined with arsenic therapy. In contrast, chronic granulocytic leukemia can also be treated with targeted therapy to achieve long-term remission. However, leukemia patients with more acute or severe symptoms may have a relatively poor prognosis, and aggressive treatment can alleviate their symptoms and improve their survival cycle. The pathogenesis of leukemia is still unclear, but more studies have shown that it is associated with certain infections, excessive exposure to toxic substances and radioactive materials.
