What is meant by psychometric measurement?

  Psychological measurement: It is the application of a well-designed measurement tool that objectively reflects a certain psychological condition of a person by a standardized procedure to measure a certain behavioral characteristic of an individual in order to judge a person’s psychological condition such as strengths and weaknesses and the social environment and his or her ability and condition to cope with difficulties. Examples include personality measures, intelligence measures, etc. With the development of medicine, the application of psychological measurement has become as important as “taking x-rays” to the medical profession and other experts in society.  What are the types of psychological measurements?  (1) Ability measurement: It mainly measures the potential and possible ability of a person. It includes intelligence level test, special ability test, and certain ability tendency test. Such as intelligence test, memory test, vocational test, infant development assessment, etc.  (2) Personality (personality) measurement: mainly used to measure a person’s personality characteristics such as personality, temperament, interests, and attitudes. Such as interest tests, temperament tests, etc.  (3) Mental health measurement: mainly to measure the level of a person’s mental health, the degree of mental disorders and the level of associated conditions.
