What to do about enlarged lymph nodes in the hilar region

Enlarged lymph nodes in the hilar region should be further examined by enhanced CT of the liver or whole abdomen enhanced CT, which is common for malignant tumors occurring in the liver. Because metastasis in the hilar region can easily occur, enhanced CT examination can further confirm the diagnosis, and if necessary, hepatic arteriography can be performed. For early diagnosis of liver malignant tumor, surgery should be actively chosen for radical resection. Regular follow-up and observation are needed after surgery, and intravenous chemotherapy can be administered according to the condition. Many patients may be diagnosed at a later stage, so they can choose interventional treatment, commonly used is hepatic artery cannulation and perfusion chemotherapy or hepatic artery embolization, which can control the development of tumor and reduce the patient’s pain to a certain extent.
