What to do about thin endometrium

Thin endometrium refers to a woman’s uterine lining that remains less than eight millimeters after ovulation in response to estrogen stimulation. According to statistics, thin endometrium is one of the most common conditions among women. Common methods of treating thin endometrium include Western medicine therapy, surgical therapy and traditional Chinese medicine. Western medicine therapy is suitable for endometrial thinning caused by endocrine disorders. Patients with endocrine disorders have less estrogen production, so they can take estrogen and progestin to thicken the endometrium. The dosage and timing of taking hormones should be controlled to avoid adverse reactions. It is worth noting that hormones can have certain effects on the body and need to be treated strictly according to medical advice. Long-term use should be checked regularly for liver and kidney function, pay attention to coagulation status, and increase exercise appropriately. Surgical treatment is more suitable for thin endometrium caused by endometrial adhesions and injuries. Hysterolaparoscopy is done first with cold instrumentation and then anti-adhesion treatment. If the condition is very severe, endometrial transplantation is also required. Traditional Chinese medicine method is a more conservative treatment method. According to TCM, by allowing the patient to benefit the kidneys and spleen and nourish the blood, it can lead to an increase in the thickness of the endometrium. This method has less impact on the body, but the results will be slower. Women with a thin endometrium will have a greater likelihood of miscarriage compared to the general population. Therefore, it is best to treat women with thin endometrium as soon as possible.
