With the increasing pace of people’s lives, stress and tension have increased, panic attacks – a typical anxiety disorder rampant in the general population, but panic attacks are often unknown to the general public, and even many non-psychiatrists do not understand them, delaying the best treatment, and many patients are seen in general practice for a long time, and even Many patients have been in general practice for a long time, and are even afraid to go out and meet people socially, which is very painful! What is a panic attack? The author’s brief introduction may give you insight. Panic attack is a subtype of anxiety disorder, mainly manifested as sudden, unaccompanied by aura of nervousness, fear or even extreme fear experience, feeling breathless or difficult, chest tightness, pressure in the precordial area, panic, sweating, different degrees of trembling, some are also accompanied by a sense of throat obstruction, unable to swallow food or even saliva, when the breathing difficulties may be more serious, with a sense of death. The difficulty in breathing may be more severe, and you may feel like dying. Others may experience dizziness, headache, and stiffness in the extremities, and some may complain of strange experiences such as a feeling of draught and an electric current-like sensation running through the body. The first attack lasts from a few minutes to an hour or so and is often misinterpreted as a heart attack (sometimes it is too similar to tell!) After examination, no organic lesion of the heart is found, and it gets slightly better. After similar attacks again thereafter, the interval is accompanied by fear of another attack, often not daring to go out, not daring to be alone, not daring to ride alone in elevators, underground garages, squares, supermarkets, etc., not daring to take a car or other means of transportation, etc., not even daring to ride a bicycle. If several attacks in a month, can be diagnosed as panic disorder (panic disorder), suffering from PD, the first consultation and treatment may be mostly general medicine, especially cardiology, ignoring the nature of their condition, or even years later to be told that they may need the help of psychiatric psychiatrists, after treatment, rapid relief, because of the reason regret! Panic attacks (disorder) can manifest alone or co-exist with other anxiety disorder subtypes, such as and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) more commonly, also with fear of place, and also co-morbid with depression, and require careful evaluation by a specialist before a standardized treatment strategy can be developed.
