How long does it usually take for glansitis to go away in men

How long does it usually take for glansitis to subside in men depends on the specific condition of the patient, measures taken, etc., and cannot be generalized. Glansitis is common in circumcised people, usually due to lack of attention to personal hygiene, including fungal glansitis, bacterial glansitis, sterile glansitis, etc. If the patient’s condition is mild, it is recommended to wash with warm water every day and also apply iodophor to disinfect it, which will help the recovery of glansitis, which can generally heal itself in 3-5 days. If the patient’s condition is more severe, with significant redness, scattered bleeding spots, discharge, membranous material on the glans and inner plate, and tofu-like material with itching and pain, medication intervention is usually required. In the case of acute bacterial glansitis or erosive glansitis, the patient will improve after 7 days of treatment; in the case of trichomonas glansitis, it takes 10 days of continuous medication to be effective. In addition, if the patient is overcircumcised and has recurrent glansitis, consider a timely visit to the urology department for circumcision to help avoid recurrence of glansitis.
