Panic attacks/disorders

Panic attack/disorder, also known as acute anxiety disorder or cardiac neurosis. It is characterized by the unpredictability and suddenness of the attack, the intensity of the reaction, the fear and dread of a catastrophic end, and the rapidity of termination. Patients often experience a sudden panic attack in the absence of a specific fearful situation, with a sense of near death or loss of control and severe autonomic dysfunction. Patients suddenly feel tightness in the chest, panic, rapid heartbeat, increased heartbeat, strong heartbeat, the feeling that the heart is about to jump out, difficulty breathing or hyperventilation, headache, dizziness, vertigo, numbness and abnormal sensation in the limbs, sweating, flesh jumping, general shaking or general weakness, which may be accompanied by a sense of near death, feeling that they are not going to live, they are dying. Panic attacks usually start rapidly and end quickly, usually lasting 5 to 20 minutes, rarely more than an hour, but soon they can occur again suddenly. During the attack, the patient is always conscious and highly alert, and after the attack, he still has palpitations and fears of having another attack, but at this time the anxiety is no longer prominent, but replaced by weakness, and it takes several hours to several days to recover. 60% of the patients have avoidance behavior because they are afraid of not getting help when they have an attack; they are afraid to be alone at home, fearing that there is no one around them when they have an attack, no one knows the condition and no one is rescuing them; they are afraid to go out alone. They are afraid to go out alone, and they are afraid to go to crowded places. Basically, most of them think of heart disease, which is basically relieved when the emergency doctor arrives, and generally prefer to use emergency drugs for heart disease, which are not effective and can only play the role of psychological comfort and suggestion. If such a phenomenon is found and no abnormality is found in the heart examination, panic attack/disorder should be considered and regular treatment with anxiolytic system can eliminate the attack.
